merryGOstyles

Most recently I have been putting all of my energy into a project I created called merryGOstyles. merryGOstyles is an independent fashion label specializing in women's clothing, at the moment T-shirts/vests/crop tops/jumpers. I started out with illustrating the images, then having the tops screen printed. I loved this part of the process, getting all the samples and deciding on the colouring and matching the illustrations to each garment. Below are some of the initial concepts.

The next part of the process shows how everything came together from some of the initial ideas, I think things change so much when you see them more realistically and how they will actually appear.

Other than producing the actual designs I also created the graphic design such as the tags and labels, which I wanted to keep in simple colours to allow for the branding to be flexible and to be able to camouflage itself in other colours according to season/style.

The tag and label follow in style of the 'Merry go' name with a playful fun fair doodle, in reflection of the clothing which is all very fun, bright and aimed at young women.

Above are the online banners I designed for the website, all made from my own photography, with the logo able to camouflage itself in to different summery scenes.

I also have been running the clothing at a market stall in Brick Lane's Backyard market, which I will upload pictures of soon! Also check out www.merrygostyles.com :).

Random Graphics

Sorry I haven't written in such a long time, I have been a very busy bee! I thought I would just upload some work that I've done over the last year that I hadn't already uploaded.

Below are two of the more recent bits I did for Bubbleology, as always the design needed to be fun and engaging within the mad scientist theme.

I have also created a few doodles, the first a typographic piece called 'Love is the drug' which I then screen printed in a gradient effect.

The above two pieces are experimental image making, using photography and illustrator, that I did a bit of playing around with.

Finally the three images above explore my weird love of skulls, as well as a bit of random pattern making!
