Hello all,
I think I'm getting quite good at this whole blogging thing, so I thought I'd share a few illustrations I have produced over the last few weeks for By Brilliant London (the jewellery company I have been interning for - www.bybrilliant.com) the illustrations have mainly been for e-newsletter campaigns including Kate Moss, Elizabeth Taylor and a couple of randoms:
I've used pencil, collage, felt tips, water colours and inks over all. I've also been inspired to try my hand at some fashion illustrations through my research so I will update you with that when I get some time to give that a go.
If you are wondering any more about By Brilliant it is a beautiful sparkly jewellery store online and in Sloane Square, London. They specialize in amazing simulated diamonds at a fraction of the price of the real thing, however you can't tell the difference to the naked eye. Since working for them I have been obsessed with jewellery and diamonds, my favorite out of their range is this beautiful cuff!
I have also produced a few e-newsletter concepts for the company.
Other than By Brilliant I have also produced a few small bits for another amazing company called Bubbleology under the same project manager. Bubbleology is a quirky drinks company based in the heart of Soho, London and can also be found in Harvey Nichols stores. They specialize in Taiwanese drinks with gummy sweet tapioca balls at the bottom of the tea or milk based drink that you suck up through a large straw available in various flavours, I tried a coconut milk based drink which was very yummy, I had never had any thing like it before, it was like drinking and eating sweets at the same time. The brand has a very fun identity of a mad scientist type so it was very fun for me to get involved. They have also just won a Marketing Design Award!
Above are two concepts I have developed for an e-newsletter. The first showing the method of how bubble tea is made through illustration, with the second a quiz type mailer taking you to three different flavours and elements of bubble tea at the end.
